For the first time in Tucson, the Agave Heritage Festival partners with Mexico in a Bottle, for an event brings together producers, importers, educators, and enthusiasts for an evening to celebrate the depth and diversity of Mexico’s spirits traditions and food culture. Guests can explore dozens of artisanal and ancestral expressions including mezcal, tequila, bacanora, sotol, raicilla, rum, gin, and other regional distillates, poured by the people who steward them.
More than a tasting, Mexico in a Bottle invites guests to connect directly with the stories behind each bottle, with opportunities to engage producers and learn about agave varietals, traditional production, regional terroir, and cultural practices.
The event also features agave cocktails, mariachi performances, music by Old Paint Records and DJ Monobich, and. bites from local food trucks like Del Cielo, Ensenada and Morty's, with large plates available for purchase. Guests can also explore the Tiendita, a small marketplace featuring local artists and organizations connected to the region.
